1. GETTING STARTED

Installing PLANTRAC-OUTLOOK

PLANTRAC-OUTLOOK will run on any Windows PC including:
Windows XP and Windows Vista


Actions:

Start Microsoft Windows.

Insert PLANTRAC-OUTLOOK Disk 1 in drive A OR CD-Rom in CD Drive

From Program Manager, select File menu and choose Run. For Windows 95+, Select Run from the Start button.

Type x:SETUP (where x is drive reference of floppy drive or CD-ROM), and click OK.

Installation will now start. Follow the Setup instructions on the screen. At the end of installation a new Window with an Icon for PLANTRAC-OUTLOOK will be created. Double-click on the Icon to get started.

Optional Start-up screen

The screen shown above, if not turned off by you , will appear. The following options are provided:

1. Open the last project used in one of the input/editing methods. Click the required method and click Open Current Project

2. Display Main Menu. Hints and Tips, if not turned off by you, will be displayed. Click OK to display the main menu which is shown below.

3. Help will provide a screen of contents for you to select the help you require.

4. Quit will terminate PLANTRAC-OUTLOOK.

The main menu is shown below:

PULLDOWN MENUS

File Allows the appropriate (Subproject, resource etc) files to be selected from a standard Windows Dialog box.

Edit Allows the selected file to be edited.

View Allows reports to be produced.

Run Allows the Subproject to be analyzed.

Utilities Provides a number of useful utilities.

Supplementary Provides additional software

Help Provides hypertext help.
