LOGIC DRAWING

An alternative but compatible way of creating a project is to draw a network. If you already have a project set up using the bar chart, you can call up Logic Drawing and by clicking on Arrange in the menu, the drawing will be displayed according to its logic. To create a project using Logic Drawing take the following actions:

Click on Logic Drawing Icon.

Click on Make Activity Icon in Toolbox.

Move cursor to position on chart where you wish to make an activity. Click. An outline activity box will be drawn and a window for its details to be entered shown.

Enter the activity Description and Duration.Click Ok.

Continue to make activities by clicking on the spot you wish the activity shown.

MAKING RELATIONSHIPS

Click on Make Relationship Icon in Toolbox.

For Finish/Start place mouse at end of Box 'from' and drag mouse to start of Box 'to'.

For Start/Start place mouse at start of Box 'from' and drag mouse to start of Box 'to'.

For Finish/Finish place mouse at end of Box 'from' and drag mouse to end of Box 'to'.

Enter a lag/lead time if required and click Ok.

TO MOVE Box

Place mouse anywhere on box and drag to new position.

TO ADD FURTHER DETAILS TO ACTIVITY

Double-click on box.

TO SCHEDULE BARS ACCORDING TO RELATIONSHIPS

Click TimeAnalyse on Menu. The project will first be checked for errors. WARNINGS can be ignored. ERRORS must be corrected.

TO PRODUCE A DRAFT REPORT

Click File and select Print

TO SAVE PROJECT

Click File in Menu and click Save.

TO CLOSE LOGIC DRAWING

Click File in Menu and click Exit.
